"Great Big Green Week" 18th-26th September 2021

Swale Borough Council is celebrating "Great Big Green Week" which takes place between 18th-26th September 2021. This is an opportunity to raise awareness of the Climate and Ecological Emergency, ahead of the United Nations COP26 event in November.

A range of community groups and organisations have been supported by Swale Borough Council to host events for local residents across the week. People can attend any of the 27 events including exhibitions, roadshows, litter picks, workshops, awareness days and planting starting on Saturday 18th September.

This includes roadshows in Faversham, Sittingbourne and Sheerness throughout the week, with 150 free pollinator-friendly plants to give away, and lots of fun events around the borough. We all need to take action to help achieve our aim of a net-zero borough by 2030 and Great Big Green Week is a brilliant opportunity to make a difference in the local area while sharing ideas for reducing individuals' carbon footprints.

The best way to find out information about each event and how to get involved is by visiting the "Great Big Green Week" website below, where you can search for events that are local to you.
